Conference Background

"International Conference on Underground Space Utilization and Disaster Prevention and Control (USUDPC)" (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC and organized by Shandong University of Science and Technology on behalf of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and China Science and Technology Exchange Center. The Conference aims to promote the Silk Road spirit of mutual learning, mutual benefit, win-win cooperation, openness and tolerance, and seeking common ground while reserving differences. It provides an exchange platform for APEC ("Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation") members to bring human wisdom and strength together. USUDPC aims to enhance the sense of community to promote the development and utilization of underground space and technological innovation and wishes to promote cooperation in the field of disaster prevention and control, new achievements and collaborative innovations, sharing, and win-win cooperation of APEC member economies in the Asia-Pacific region.

Under the current influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Conference will be held in double offline and online modes where the appropriate measures have been planned for epidemic prevention and control of the meeting venue. All required prevention and control measures will be taken at the Conference site to ensure the meetings are held safely and smoothly.
